Anantnag: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler during naka checking and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
“A police party of Police Station Bijbehara headed by SHO Bijbehara apprehended a suspected person, identified as Mohammad Hussain Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Tulkhan, during naka checking at Tulkhan area of Bijbehara,” police spokesman said.
He added that on checking, 14 strips of Spasmoproxyvan, 38 bottles of codeine phosphate and 430 grams of charas were recovered from his possession.
A case FIR number 160/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation has been taken up.
