Forest deptt casual employee falls into ravine, in coma

Baramulla: A casual employee of forest department was critically injured and is in Coma after he fell  down into a deep ravine while performing his duties in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening.

Identified as Lateef Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Subhan Lone of Sheeri Mirher in Narwav Baramulla, sustained multiple fractures and head injuries.

Lateef is posted at forest compartment No 71/2nd S Range of Jehlum Valley Division Baramulla.

According to police Lateef slipped and rolled down accidentally in his forest compartment and was hit by rocks.

Divisional Forest Officer Mir Waseem, Range Officer Baramulla, staff of Control Room and other staff members accompanied Lateef to SKIMS where a three hour long surgery was done.

“He is in coma and is on a ventilator,” they said
