Srinagar: A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit parts of Kashmir Valley on Wednesday.

The tremor with latitude 35.6 degrees north and longitude 76.3 degrees east was felt around 05:15 am, Director of Disaster Management Aamir Ali said.

“The epicentre of the earthquake was located 199 kilometres North of Kargil,” he said.
