Jammu: Two to three militants were Wednesday inteecepted by forces near Jhajjar Kotli on Jammu-Srinagar national highway during checking of trucks.

“One person opened fire and  fled towards the lane adjoining police station. An army column has been rushed to the spot, ” Officials said.

According to official One AK and 3 magazines have been recovered from the intercepted truck. “Driver and conductor of the truck have been taken into custody while suspected militants who ran away from the truck are being chased,” he said.

Police,  army and Crpf have been  activated and search operation have been launched in suketar near Katra crossing. .
