Sehrai, Malik reach Sopore, visit killed Hurriyat activist’s home

Srinagar: Chairman Tehreek Hurriyat Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Yasin Malik Monday visited recently killed hurriyat activits home in Bomai area of Sopore subdivision in Baramulla district.

Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Saturday said that it has constituted a high-level committee to gather the details about Hakeem-ur-Rehman’s killing.

JRL, comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, as per a statement issued here, expressed shock over the killing of Hakeem-u-Rehman of Bumai Sopore.
JRL said that Hakeem-u-Rehman (45) was released from the jail recently after 20 months of incarceration.
“JRL has constituted a high-level committee to visit the location and gather details about the gruesome killing of the Hurriyat leader,” they said.
JRL expressed heartfelt condolences with the grieved family, which includes his widow and minor daughters.


JRL also appealed to the freedom loving people to maintain patience, discipline and unity at all levels to foil the ill designs of the authorities.
