Gunfight between militants, forces underway in Anantnag

Anantnag: Gunfight between holed up militants and government forces is underway in Muniward area of Anantnag District since Wednesday morning. Clashes have erupted in the area as well. Government forces had launched an anti-militancy operation in the village, about 5-kilometer from main Anantnag town, following inputs about the presence of militants there. “Two militants are believed to be trapped,” a police official said. Meanwhile authorities have snapped internet services in the district .
