Qazigund, July 02: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kahsmir, Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday visited the Nayoga Tunnel in Qazigund and interacted with police officers deployed for the Amarnath Yatra.

Speaking to reporters during his visit, the DGP said all officers are on the ground ensuring peaceful conduct of the Yatra.

Amid a multi-tier security cover, the first batch of 5,485 pilgrims entered Kashmir in 299 vehicles to undertake the yatra from twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal. (KNO)
