Tral: Suspected militants on Tuesday night attacked house of a Bhartiya Janta Party leader in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Police sources said that the ancestral house of the BJP leader Avtaar Singh was attacked at Monghama village Tral during the intervening night of August 28 and 29.

They said that militants fired at the guard post of Avtaar Singh’s house but there were no casualties reported in the incident.

Police sources also said that Avtaar Singh was not present at the home and lives in Srinagar from last many years.
