Poppy smuggling bid foiled at Lakhanpur, 190 kg of drugs siezed

Jammu: The Excise Department (ED) Monday claimed to have foiled smuggling bid of poppy in fruit boxes and have seized 190 kg of the drug at Lakhanpur interstate toll plaza in  Kathua district of the state.
officials said that the seizure was made from a truck which was loaded with fresh fruits, adding that  they have registered  a case and further investigation is underway.
