Clashes amid CASO in Pulwama village

Pulwama: Clashes erupted on Wednesday afternoon between youth and Government forces soon after later launched as cordon-and-search-operation at Gudoora village of Pulwama in south Kashmir.

Sources said as joint team of forces comprising army’s 55RR, 183 battalion CRPF and J&K police cordoned of Gudoora after inputs about presence of militants in the village.

Immediately, youth took to streets and pelted stones and bricks on the forces who retaliated tear smoke shells to disperse them. Clashes were going on when this report was filed. (filed picture for illustrations)
