Pulwama: Unknown persons on Monday made an abortive bid to target a polling booth in Tikan Pulwama by hurling a grenade at it. A police officer said the device, however, did not explode.
Earlier unknown persons hurled a grenade at a polling booth stationed inside government girls’ middle school Rahmoo which exploded in the compound. However there was no injuries to any person.
The voting for the last phase of the Anantnag parliamentary constituency is underway in Pulwama and Shopian districts. The Anantnag and Kulgam districts of Anantnag constituency went to the polls on April 23 and April 29, respectively.
