HC quashes 9 PSA detention orders

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed detention orders under Public Safety Act against seven detainees and ordered their release from preventive detention if not required in any other case.

a bench of Justice Tashi Rabstan quashed detention order  passed by District Magistrate, Baramulla against Wasim Mehraj Farash alias Wasim Farash son of Mehraj-U-Din Farash of Khanpora, Baramulla.

The court also quashed detention orders against Haroon Ahmad Sheikh son of Late Alif-ud-din Sheikh of Amrohi, Karnah District Kupwara and Mohd. Subhan Wani alia Subal Wani son of Gh Mohd Wani of Beigh Mohalla Dangerpora, Sapore, District Baramulla.

Meanwhile, Justice M K Hanjura quashed detention orders under PSA against Mohammad Lateef Dar son o late Abdul Gani Dar of Zawoora, Dar Mohalla Shopian, Hilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie o of Nowpora, Jagir, Kreeri, Baramulla; Parvaiz Ahmad Najar son of Abdul Rehman Najar of Najar Mohalla, Tujjer Sharief, Baramulla and Mysar Majid Malik son of Abdul Majid Malik of Mohalla Dhoni Seriwarpora, Pattan in the District Baramulla.
