10 injured in Pahalgam clashes, thousands gather for funeral of slain militant

Anantnag: At least 10 persons injured during clashes in Yener village of Pahalgam after the news reached the death of a local militant Arif Ahmad Mir who killed during an encounter in shopian village.
Reports said that clashes broke out in Yannar village after the news of death of a local militant Arif Ahmad Mir spread.
They said that youth pelted the forces with stones. The forces retaliated by firing tear gas and pellets, resulting in injuries to at least 10 persons.
However thousands of people stormed onto the Yanad roads in Pahalgam from as far as various villages in south kashmir to attend the funeral of Slain Militant, Arif Ahmed Mir, sources told to INS.
The whole area is reverberating with Pro Freedom and Pro Islam slogans, however the body of the slain Militant has not reached his native Village as of yet.
