Sopore encounter: One militant killed, fresh exchange of fire erupts

Spore: Fresh firing erupted at the encourage the encounter site in drussoo behrampora village in Sopore of Baramulla district while officials confirm killing one militant so far.

“One militant has been killed so far,” police official confirmed.

According to Army sources the body of a militant was seen through drone surveillance.

“One body has been seen lying near the encounter site,” sources disclosed.

Fresh firing erupted after forces tried to push forward the encounter site  and exchange of fire  was going on when this report was being filed.

Clashes have erupted in the area between protesters and forces.

Meanwhile authorities have suspended classwork in the sopore subdivision of the district baramulla.

Volatile Spore town is tense after rumours spread that the killed militant is a local of subdivisons.

Internet services too have been suspended.
