Kulgam: At-least persons were injured in government force’s action during a cordon-and-search operation at Khudwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
Reports said that youth took to streets and clashed with the forces, which launched the CASO, in Lone Mohalla in Khudwani following inputs about the presence of militants.
At least seventeen youths were injured, one of them critically, during clashes with the government
They said that forces fired tear gas and pellets to chase away the protesters who were trying to disrupt the search operation.
A shutdown was observed in the village against the killings of three militants in a gunfight in Wani mohalla yesterday.
When contacted CMO Kulgam said that 17 youths have been injured near encounter site but none among them is critical.
