 ‘Informal Group’ to come up with suggestions to clean up balance sheet of J&KPDD, J&KPDC

Srinagar:  The government on Friday formed an informal group to come up with suggestions to “clean up” the balance sheet and accounts of Power Development Department and J&K State Power Development Corporation.   “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of an informal group to look into the Financial matters of Power Development Department and J&K State Power Development Corporation,” reads an order issued by the General administration department.

The groups includes Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department.

“The group shall examine the financial position of both Power Development Department and J&K State Power Development Corporation and come up with suggestions to clean up the balance sheet and accounts of these organizations, so that the power sector in the State can function in a sustainable manner.”
