Kupwara: One militant was killed in an ongoing encounter with government forces at Magam Batpora in district Kupwara, police said on Thursday

A police officer told INS that the unidentified militant was killed in brief exchange of fire with government forces in Batpora Handwara, a forest area.

“Body has been recovered along arms and ammunition,” SSP Handwara Ghulam Geelani Wani said.
