One dead in road accident in Doda

Jammu: One person died after the car he was travelling skidded off the road and fell into the ravine in Doda area of Jammu division of the state on Wednesday.

Deceased has been identified as Khushi Ram Rukwal S/o Nand Ram Age 62 years, Resident of Jodhpur Doda.

According to police officials an Alto K10 car bearing registration number JK06A-2531 was on its way from Jodhpur to Doda, near Mohalla Bhata area the car skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge at about 08 : 30 AM morning.

Locals rushed to the spot however Rukwal, eyewitnesses claimed, had died on the spot. The body was later retrieved from the gorge.
