Ganderbal: Two Amarnath pilgrims died on Monday, one due to natural causes at the Baltal base camp and another after their vehicle turned turtle.
The pilgrim from Punjab died during the intervening night, officials said.
Another yatri is reported to have succumbed to injuries after the vehicle (Innova) they were traveling turned turtle at Kulgam.
”1 killed and 6 injured,” reports said.
60-year-old Gurnam Singh, son of Gurdiyal Singh was taken ill at the Baltal base camp on Sunday night. He was removed to the base camp hospital where he passed away.
With his death, the toll in this year’s annual pilgrimage, which began on 28 June, has now reached 15.
identity of the deceased in accident is yet to be ascertained.
