Ramban admin suspends 17 absentee employees

RAMBAN, JUNE 27: District administration Ramban today suspended seventeen employees after they were found absent from duty without seeking permission from the respective competent authorities.

Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ramban Ravinder Sadhu ordered the suspension of 11     employees of health department including Dr Fhema Gohar and FMPHW Shahnaz Begum posted at PHC Shagan, Dr Aijaz Ahmed, Dr Sameer Ahmed, FMPHW Rashida Begum, Shahnaza Begum, Nusrat Parveen and Sweeper Shabir Ahmed posted at PHC Khari and ARSH councillor Nasir Ahmed, Saima Shafi and X-Ray technician Yasir Ahmed posted at   Sub District Hospital Banihal.

 Meanwhile, the ADDC also ordered suspension of Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Banihal, AAO Shabir Ahmed, Head Draftsman Mohammad Sikender, Camp operator Ashiq Hussain besides Teacher Nayeem Ahmed posted at ZEO office Khari and Attendant Romesh Chander posted at Animal Husbandry Department Ramban.

As per the order issued by the ADDC, the officers and officials have been placed under suspension, their salary     withheld while the concerned district officers have been directed to conduct an enquiry into the matter and   furnish a detailed report to ADDC’s office along with specific comments for taking further appropriate action as per classification conduct and appeal rules. “The report shall invariably be sent to the ADDC’s office within weeks’ time positively” the order reads further.

Meanwhile, Govt Tehsil Library Banihal was found locked during an inspection by Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Banihal.   The SDM has asked the concerned department to file a report.

It is pertinent to mention that the district administration has asked the SDMs and Tehsildars to conduct surprise inspection in their respective jurisdictions to check the punctuality in the offices.
