NC greets Yatra pilgrims

Srinagar : National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Mohammed Sagar and other senior leaders on Wednesday welcomed the first batch of Shri Amarnathji Yatris arriving the base camps at Nunwan Pahalgam and Baltal for paying obeisance at the holy cave shrine on Kashmir Himalayas.
“Shri Amarnathji Yatra is one of the oldest pilgrimages of the Valley, which symbolizes Kashmir’s time-tested and glorious ethos and reflects high values of amity and brotherhood”, Mr Sagar said in a statement.
The General Secretary prayed for smooth and peaceful conduct of the pilgrimage, hoping that the pilgrims will go with very pleasant memories of their stay in the Valley and hospitality extended by the people of Kashmir. He complimented all those engaged with the annual pilgrimage and said their affection and enthusiasm in extending various facilities has all along been high point of Kashmir hospitality.
National Conference MLA Kangan and former minister Mian Altaf Ahmed and MLA Pahalgam Mr Altaf Kaloo also welcomed and extended his greetings to the pilgrims, hoping the pilgrimage will not only be spiritually blissful but memorable as well.
