Governor administration asks officers not leave headquarters without permission

Srinagar: The governor administration on Tuesday asked Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Heads of Departments and all Deputy Commissioners not to leave headquarters without the prior permission.

“It is enjoined upon all the Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Heads of Departments and Deputy Commissioners not to leave their headquarters without the prior permission/approval of the competent authority,” reads an order issued by Commissioner Secretary to Government, Hilal Ahmad Parray.

As for travel outside the State, the order says, the prior permission/approval of the Chief Secretary is essential for this category of officers.

“If any officer is required to leave the headquarter in connection with official work outside the State, he/she shall obtain prior permission of the Chief Secretary two days before the scheduled visit, with reasons/justification for such visit. If the officer has to visit any part of the State in connection with official work, intimation in this regard will be made to the office of the competent authority.”

Further, the order says, the Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners will submit a tour note of each visit or meeting – attended outside the State for perusal of the competent authority.
