Ganderbal: Sonamarg Drass road stretch of Srinagar-Leh highway was closed for traffic on 2nd consecutive day due to landslide occurred at Shaitan nallah which forcing closure of traffic on Tuesday afternoon an official said.

DTI Sonamarg Mohd Ibrahim said that men and machinery have been deployed to clear the road for traffic movement.

According to officer landslide happened on the road yesterday. “The road cant be opened today as the landslide is huge,” he said.

He also said that passengers have been taken to safer places and some of the vehicle carrying goods are on the road only.
