‘Petrol bomb’ hurled at MLA Shopian’s house, Police and Fire service reach spot

Shopian: Unknown persons hurled a petrol bomb, reportedly, at the residence of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Shopian Muhammad Yousuf Bhat at Memander Shopian on Wednesday.

According to locals one of the window has caught fire and fire and emergency services has been put into service.

Police has also reached to spot.

SSP Shopian  Shailendra Kumar Mishra told INS that one of the window has caught fire and fire and emergency services have been pressed into service.

“We are verifying the incident. We are investigating what is the cause of fire,” Misra said.

Bhat according to locals was not home at the time of incident.

More details are awaited.
