Shopian shuts for second consecutive day to mourn civilian killing

Shopian: Complete shutdown is being observed in Shopian town on  second day to mourn the civilian killing.

All shops and business establishments were closed while as public transport were seen off the roads

On Thursday a local youth from shopian town was killed when suspected Militants fired upon a CRPF party in Lazibal area of Anantnag in which the youth was injured and shifted to hospital later he succumbed identified as shakeeb shabir of 21 year old and BA second year student from khar mollah shopian.

However early morning today intense clashes erupted in main town shopian between youths and security forces in which youths pelted stones on security vehicles and they retailted with tear smoke shells to disperse youths.
