Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said that Dr Ajaz Rasool of Khrewan- Kulgam is innocent and has no distant affiliation with Militancy. The Doctor’s arrest proves that the Indian Government has declared a war against every Kashmiri. “Arresting the noblest profession doing man is nothing, but a symbol that everyone in Kashmir, be it a combatant or non combatant is dealt in the same way,” Mirwaiz Yasir said. He said the doctor should be immediately released and allowed to carry on his professional duties.

Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir also demanded the release of Javaid Ahmed Matoo a teacher hailing from Ganjipora area in Khudwani of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District. He said Javaid is an innocent teacher and has no affiliation with anyone. “The same fact can be verified from his colleagues who have come out in defense of Javaid saying that he has never even spoken of politics,” Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said. Saying that Javaid was arrested on Saturday because he is the maternal uncle of an arrested Militant he demanded his immediate release. “The teacher has been detained in Aamnoo camp which is merely a torture centre,” he said.
