Uptown traders in Tral protests, demands rehabilitation

Tral : Traders in uptown Tral on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration, demanding rehabilitation of shopkeepers whose shops are supposed to be demolished under a road-widening programme on Tral-Dadasara road.
The uptown area is witnessing partial shutdown after a call was given by traders federation uptown Tral.
“The strike call was given in the area, after authorities ordered to rehabilitate scores of shops in downtown area of the town, where the work on the project is going on near new Bus stand,” President Ghulam Hassan Bhat said.

 The traders of uptown who were the part of protests told INS that they are not against the rehabilitation process in downtown but they also want the same process in uptown, where majority of shops are supposed to be demolished in coming time.
The protesting traders were chanting slogans against concerned authorities and demanded immediate rehabilitation process in uptown area of the town.
