Strong hailstrom caused huge damage to crops and vegetable in north Kashmir, leaving farmers in distress over expected losses. The ochardists in the district told INS that the brief hailstorm caused damage to crops like apple, vegetables and other fruits. “This year, we expected a good crop as our orchards seemed to be abundant in apples, but the hail storms have not only dashed our hopes, but also left the orchardists in desperation,” said Abdul Aziz , a resident of Baramulla

Meanwhile Farmers have appealed the authorities to compensate the loss.
