Asifa case: Police registers FIR against Jammu lawyers who prevented CB from filing challan

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir police Tuesday registered a case against  the lawyers, ”who have no respect for law’,  created high drama trying to obstruct Crime Branch from filing charge sheet in Asifa rape and murder case on Monday.
According to media reports the move has been confirmed by DGP SP Vaid.

Lawyers tried to stop Crime Branch (CB) of Jammu and Kashmir Police from filing charge sheet into rape-and-murder of eight-year-old girl Asifa Bano at Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kathua.
Omar Abdullah,Jammu and Kashmir National Conference working president and former chief minister hailed the police move and tweeted: “Good. Lawyers who have no respect for the law deserve to have the full weight of the law books crash down on them”.
Traders body Kashmir Economic Alliance(KEA) demanded FIR against the protesting lawyers of Kathua bar, threatening govt of launching protest if not.
