Ganderbal: Complete shutdown is being observed in Baroosa area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district to mourn killing of a local youth by government forces last year on this day.
All the shops and other business establishments are closed to mourn killing of Umer Farooq Ganie, 20, who died after Border Security Force (BSF) personnel allegedly opened fire on a group of boys.
“There was no provocation while Srinagar and Budgam were on that day,” locals said.
