Srinagar: Kangan area of central Kashmir’s  Ganderbal district remains shut for fifth consecutive day against the killing of Gowhar in police action.

Gowhar Ahmad Rather (22) succumbed to injuries after he was injured in police action on Monday. He breathed his last at SKIMS Soura next day he was admitted.

All the shops, business establishments, government and private offices remained closed in the area and traffic is off the roads.

While the area remains under thick deployment of forces high-speed Mobile Internet service remained suspended in Ganderbal.

Government announced a magisterial investigation and suspended a police head constable of ‘prima facia’ involvement in the killing of youth.
