Educational institutions remain closed to avoid law and order problem

Srinagar: All the educational institution remain closed on Wednesday after authorities ordered their closure to avoid law and order problem in view of the Joint Resistance Leadership announced that they will be marching towards Shopian district.

Schools and colleges have been paralysed after 20 persons died in South Kashmirs twin districts of Anantnag and Shopian during anti militancy operation launched by government forces.

The dead included 13 militants, 4 civilians and 3 Army men.

“Keeping in view the prevailing situation, all schools and colleges will remain closed for one day (tomorrow),” media reports said about the government decision about closing educational institutions.

Shutdown has been observed for two days across Kashmir Valley and some parts of Jammu as well.

One boy succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS soura on Tuesday. The boy identified as Gowhar Ahmad was grievously injured and was battling for life for two days.

The deceased belongs to central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District, and government Tuesday evening ordered inquiry into Gowhar’s death as family contested police version and said he was shot at that killed him
