Ganderbal: Land mafia has has set its eyes  on state land in Anchar area at Garidarg, Dubgund near Gadoora of Srinagar and almost hundreds of Kanals have already been sold.
“The buyers include  Doctors, political persons and influential people,” sources in Revenue Department confided.
They added that this has caused alarming situation among the residents of Anchar and it’s surrounding areas.
Some locals of the area said that the land belongs to state government and the revenue department has kept its eyes closed for this grave negligence.
“The conspiracy had been hatched by land brokers and revenue department to earn lacs of Rupees,” Locals alleged.
It will be a disastrous for wildlife and Animal grazing,  they said.
Patwari Rouf Ahmad told INS that he has taken the charge of this area three months ago.
“i have sent my report to the Tehsildar and the land filling work was stopped,” he said.
