Jammu: Two persons were killed in an accident on Tuesday in Thathri police station jurisdiction when the vehicle they were traveling skidded off the road and fell into gorge.
 The deceased have been identified as Fata Begum wife of Saif Din Khanpura Thatri, and Nisar Ahmed son of Barket Ali of Khanpura.
Police said that the incident took place when the driver of a van bearing registration number JKO6/7732, which was on its way from Thatri to Khanpura, lost control while negotiating a sharp curve.
As a result, police said, the van skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge wounding six passengers, immediately, locals and police launched a rescue operation and evacuated injured to the hospital.
