Baramulla,27 March :- At least Twenty animals were charred to death and four residential houses were completely gutted in a devastating fire incident in Lachhipora area of Uri in Baramulla district on Tuesday.
Sources said that the fire started around 10 am in the morning from one house in the locality and due to wood structured it engulfed to three other near by residential houses.
 Locals police and army rushed to the spot and tried to douse the flames. Eyewitnesses said that 20 livestock also died in the incident. It is pertinent to mention here that the nearest fire service station is around 45 kilometers away from the area located in main town Uri.
Fire victims appeal authorities to provide relief to them so that they could reconstruct their houses. Meanwhile locals hailed the efforts of army and local youth in saving human lives in this incident. Cause of fire was not known immediately.
The houses which were completely damaged are belonged to Ghulam Mohammad Mughal, Haji Mohd Abdullah, Mohammad din Mughal, and Ghulam Mohammad Mughal
