Protesting students claimed that they are being harassed by college principal and head of orthodontics department.

According to protesting students they are facing facing physical and mental harassment and have already approached higher authorities including Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, ‘but nothing was done’.

“We tried to meet the principal yesterday but he is not even willing to listento us. There is no option left but to launch the indefinite strike till our demands are not accepted,” they said.

Carrying placards that read, “shut the college down” and “we want justice”, the students shouted slogans demanding attention of the government towards the “mismanagement” and “abuse of power” in the college.

The protestors included both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
