Tral: Tral town of Pulwama district in South Kashmir observed a shutdown on Monday soon after the news of a detained militant killed in a grenade attack spread.

Mushtaq Ahmad chopan was killed after a grenade was hurled on the police station Tral killing him on spot and injuring a Jammu and Kashmir Policeman.

According to police Chopan was trying to escape the custody wearing a ‘female burka’ when ‘someone hurled grenade towards the police post to divert attention’. However grenade exploded near Chopan.

Magisterial probe has been launched into the incident.

Mushtaq was arrested in Watlab area of north kashmir’s baramulla district along with weapons on January 7.
