Fraudsters selling Punjab made items as Kashmiri handicraft: Amarnath yatra welfare society

Jammu:, Shri Amarnath Yatra Welfare Society National General Secretary Raju Chandel, Thursday criticized the state government for not taking stern action against fraudsters who are selling fake Kashmiri handicraft items actually bought from Punjab.

Chandel was speaking to reporters at Press Club Jammu, and was flanked by Society Working State President and Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad.

“Worth crores of rupees duplicate Kashmiri handicraft and other related items are being sold across the country including in J&K State in the name of original Kashmiri handicraft,” he said.

He urrged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to constitute a high level committee under the supervision of Chief Secretary B B Vyas ‘so that people of the country are not cheated in the name of Kashmiri handicraft’.
