KAS exams: Govt exempts in-service candidates from additional duties

Srinagar: The government on Wednesday ordered that all the in-service candidates, who are are appearing in Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination main examinations be exempted from additional duties.
The Main examination of Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination 2016 is being conducted by the J&K Public Service Commission from February 15 to March 8.
Deputy Secretary government Reyaz Ahmad Wani said that various representations have been received by the J&K Public Service Commission from in-service candidates, who have passed the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination and are now going to appear in the J&K Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, for their exemption from any kind of additional duty during the period of examination.
“Accordingly, it is enjoined upon all the Deputy Commissioners that in-service candidates, who are going to appear in J&K Combined Competitive (Main) Examination be exempted from any kind of additional duty, other than which they are performing at present, during the examination period, provided that they support their individual cases with a proper documentary proof,” Wani said in an order issued here.
