Ganderbal: Scores of trees were found cut in Mansbal forests in this central Kashmir district.
Reports said smugglers have chopped off several trees in the compartment no. 15 and 16 in Mansbal range of Sindh Forest Division, Ganderbal.
This has happened in broad daylight.
Locals of the area said the officials of the forest department are hand in glove with timber smugglers.
When contacted, DFO Ganderbal Shabir Ahmad Sheikh told INS that he will send a team to the spot.
