Ganderbal: 434-Km long Srinagar-Leh highway connecting Ladakh region with Kashmir Valley was closed due to fresh spell of snowfall in Zojila Pass and adjacent areas in this central Kashmir district on Wednesday.
DySP traffic Ganderbal Adbul Rashid said that landslide at Doser mode led to suspending of traffic on Srinagar-Leh highway. He said efforts were underway to allow the traffic on the thoroughfare.
The highway was thrown open last week by Beacon without even informing the local administration following which district administration vowed to launch “criminal proceedings” against the beacon officials.
