Youth granted amnesty can get passport, pursue careers hustle-free: Minister

Srinagar: The youth who were given amnesty by government recently can get passport and can pursue their respective careers hasstle-free, education minister Syed Altaf Mukhari said on Sunday.
The minister said he was happy about the amnesty given to 1400 youth against whom cases for stone pleting were registered in Srinagar.
Speaking during a counselling session held at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) here, the minister said government has given one more chance to the youth to live a normal life.
“The youth granted amnesty won’t face any issues and can pursue their career. They can apply for passports,” he said.
He said they don’t need to follow their cases anymore and congratulated them and their parents.
The counselling session was organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with the civil administration.
Besides the Education Minister, ADGP Muneer Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rashid, senior superintendent of police Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail, DIG Gulam Hassan Bhat and other senior police and civil administration officials attended the session.
