Ganderbal: Several areas of this central Kashmir district are up in arms against the administration over the non-availability of electricity.
The areas of Lar, Watlar, Yenhama, Repora, Waliwar, Chuntwar, Kurhama, Baroosa, Yangoora, Wandhama, and Tulmulla told INS that the whole district is worst hit by shortage of electricity.
“The unscheduled power cuts are giving tough time to us,” the residents said, adding that the repeated requests to concerned officials have fallen to deaf ears.
“Despite paying monthly electricity bills on time, the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to ensure adequate power supply,” they said.
The residents have appealed to authorities to resolve the problem at the earliest.
