Blinded by pellets, Insha qualifies 10th exams

Shopian: Insha Mushtaq, the teenage girl completely blinded by pellets fired by government forces during the 2016 uprising in Kashmir, has qualified class 10th exam, the results of which were declared by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education.
Insha Mushtaq resident of Sedow village of this south Kashmir district was completely blinded when forces fired pellets while she was standing in front of a window in her home.
The 15-year-old became the face of pellet wound survivors in Kashmir and there was huge criticism faced by the government especially on social media.
Insha wrote examination with the help of a student lower than Insha’s standard and was selected by JKBOSE authorities.
Insha returned home after treatment in All India Institute of Medical Science New Delhi. Her right eye is completely blind.
Insha father was very happy and said result was beyond his expectation. “ We are very happy,” she said.
