JKB, police join hands to work on drug de-addiction

Srinagar: As a significant step of collective initiative and responsibility towards the society, Director General of Police SP vaid and Chairman and CEO, J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmed announced to join hands to work together on Drug De-addiction in J&K state.
Parvez Ahmed called on Vaid on Tuesday and discussed the security of bank’s Cash vans and branches in Kashmir valley along with the requirement of security for operationalisation of the Bank’s Currency Chest in Shopian.
The Director General of Police assured of full cooperation to the Bank for uninterrupted operations in all parts of the state, a statement issued here by the bank said.
Parvez Ahmed on being apprised by the DGP about the prevailing problem of drug addiction in the society especially in rural areas, not only assured of logistic support to the drug de addiction efforts of JK Police but also proposed to use the bank’s extensive network in the state for disseminating information about the menace of drug addiction in the state
The Chairman also reiterated that the bank feels honored to serve the J&K Police as the “most favoured client” of the bank for its exclusive dealings with respect to all banking related services and said that the digital & hassle free loan products like “Phone Pe Loan” are a way of acknowledging the unprecedented services of JK Police fraternity towards the society under most difficult working conditions.
