BHADERWAH , DEC 25—- Jammu and Kashmir Senior Citizens welfare Council Bhaderwah has demanded the creation of a separate district of Bhaderwah keeping in view the merit of the area and historical background .

In a press conference held here Senior Citizens Welfare Council president Nazir Hussain Khan and other leaders Khan Mohd Khan , Kewal Kumar Kotwal , Sher Singh Parihar , Master Shban Butt and others informed that Bhaderwah was a full fledged district and state before the independence of the country as per the revenue record available but after the independence some leaders hatched a planned conspiracy and status of Bhaderwah was denied . 

Theyalso informed that recently they met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in public outreach at Doda and submitted a eleven point memorandum to her and she assured full fledged district to Bhaderwah .Senior Citizens said now there is dire need of intensifying a movement for full fledged Bhaderwah and all political parties should shun their differences and work for the creation of Bhadewrah district . They urged upon the state government to look into the aspirations of the people of Bhaderwah and declare Bhaderwah district which is presently sub district . 

Theyalso demanded full fledged university at Bhaderwah , women’s college and opening up of Bhadewrah Gundoh Khara road along with Bhaderwah Bani and Chamba road .
