New Delhi: Patiala House Court on Friday extended the judicial custody of Syed Shahid Yousuf, the son of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, till January 19 in connection with a 2011 terror funding case.
Shahid, 42, was arrested on October 24 after he was called in for questioning at ED headquarters in alleged terror funding case.
After his arrest, Shahid, who worked in the government’s agriculture department, was last month suspended from his job.
He was remanded in seven-day NIA custody last Wednesday.
On Friday, he was presented before District Judge Poonam Bamba who, during the in-camera proceedings, extended his judicial custody.
