Ganderbal: A government girl’s high school of Shallabugh in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District was locked by locals reason being poor performance in the recently declared class 8 and 9 examinations.
“Among 32 students in class 8 not a single student has qualified all the subjects in the recently concluded board exams,” the locals alleged.
Meanwhile only twenty per cent students have qualified the class 9 examinations.
The enraged locals locked the school and said that they won’t allow it to function unless the concerned department does not investigate the matter, said a local.
Ishfaq Ahmad, a parent said that the matter should be investigated thoroughly.
Deputy Commissioner ganderbal piyush singla told INS that he has ordered to chief education officer to conduct an enquiry into school functioning.
