Ganderbal: Commissioner Secretary for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Mehraj-ud-Din Khan launched Point of Sale (PoS) machine at Nagbal Sale Centre in District Ganderbal.
Director FCS&CA Nisar Ahmad Wani, ADDC Ganderbal accompanied the Commissioner Secretary.
Khan said installation of PoS machines is one of the important components of Government’s initiative of digitizing the
entire FCS&CA department through electronic Public Distribution System and a step towards the transparency of the department.
Commissioner Secretary informed that all the PoS machines will be Aadhar enabled with an inbuilt speaker.
Hefurther said PoS machine will also calculate the amount the consumers are required to pay for their ration.
