Srinagar: Security forces on Monday launched cordon and search operations (CASO) in different villages of Shopian district, sources said.

The CASO has been started by army, police and CRPF personnel.

The villages which are under siege include Amshipora, Chitterpora, Nowgam, Shamsipora, Ramnagri etc.

Search operation has been started after government forces received input about the presence of militants, official sources said. (INS)
